Overview
Herzog Contracting Corp. is currently seeking a Rail Systems Engineer in Kearny, NJ to join our team.
Duties and Responsibilities :
- This is a non-exhaustive overview of the job duties for this position.
- Plan and monitor Rail Systems preconstruction activities including cost estimating, design review, development / review of proposed innovations.
- Attend and assist leading Technical Working Group meetings for Rail Systems during all project stages.
- Review designs to ensure safety, quality, and cost effectiveness.
- Ensure work packages are developed in accordance with contracts, project schedules and estimates.
- Liaise / develop relationships with owner(s) systems leads.
- Develop and execute Cut-over / Tie-in plans.
- Execute Standard Operating Procedures for Systems work elements, testing and commissioning.
- Develop and Manage Systems Contract Deliverable Requirement List.
- Submit material usage and material reports to ensure proper inventory control.
- Monitor field production units, evaluate equipment and labor means and methods to ensure alignment with project estimates.
- Regular and consistent engagement, participation and promotion of Herzog's Culture and its essential behaviors are a requirement for this position.
- Regular and predictable attendance and punctuality are a requirement for this position.
- Other duties as assigned.
