Requirements:The Automation Sales Manager supports the VP of Sales & Marketing in driving revenue growth for Rockwell Automation products and key technology partners. This role is responsible for developing and executing sales strategies, leading a team of product specialists, and fostering strong customer relationships. The ideal candidate excels at identifying market opportunities, training sales teams, and aligning with internal departments to ensure a unified go-to-market approach. Responsibilities also include leveraging CRM tools to manage the sales pipeline, analyzing performance metrics, and representing HESCO at industry events to stay ahead of trends and maintain a strong network.
Education/Experience:
Electrical industry as a manufacturer or distributor – 5 years' experience required; 7 years preferred. Selling, supporting, or using automation products like Rockwell Automation or equivalent manufacturer – 5 years' experience required; 7 years preferred. Technical sales management – 2 years' experience preferred. Bachelors’ Degree required, Engineering Degree preferred.
Skills and Abilities:
Strong written and verbal communication skills with the ability to interpret technical, legal, and financial information. Proficient in analyzing data, solving problems, and applying mathematical concepts such as percentages, interest, and volume. Able to navigate complex instructions and adapt to both abstract and practical challenges. Proficient in Microsoft Office, including PowerPoint.
Supervisory Responsibilities:
Manages a team of approximately five direct reports, including high-tech specialists, and is responsible for their overall direction, coordination, and performance. This role oversees all aspects of team leadership in alignment with company policies and applicable laws. Key responsibilities include interviewing, hiring, onboarding, coaching, and developing staff; setting goals and assigning tasks; conducting performance evaluations; recognizing achievements and managing disciplinary actions; and addressing concerns to ensure effective resolution and a positive work environment.
