Job Summary
As the Design Operations Manager at Hevenle Staging & Design, you will be at the heart of our staging process, overseeing both vacant and occupied installations, managing inventory, and ensuring seamless execution of all staging projects. This role requires a highly organized and hands-on professional with an impeccable eye for design, the ability to manage multiple moving parts, and the confidence to lead staging teams while working closely with real estate professionals.
Key Responsibilities
- Plan & Execute Staging Installations – Lead and oversee both vacant and occupied staging projects from start to finish, ensuring every space is optimized for visual impact.
- Forecast & Manage Inventory – Track and ensure all necessary inventory is available for upcoming installations, preventing last-minute shortages.
- Maintain Inventory System – Update inventory software daily with accurate records of furniture and décor usage.
- Warehouse Management – Ensure all furniture is maintained, cleaned, repaired, and properly organized within the warehouse for easy access.
- Oversee Inventory Purchasing – Assess and purchase new furniture and décor to enhance Hevenle’s staging collection based on demand and design trends.
- Team Leadership – Supervise Home Stagers on projects, providing guidance to ensure the right inventory is used and staging designs meet Hevenle’s high standards.
- Collaboration & Communication – Work closely with real estate agents, property owners, and industry professionals to provide a warm, professional experience while being direct and efficient in team communication.
Qualifications
- Reliable transportation (personal or company vehicle) to travel between warehouse, staging locations, and supplier stores across the Austin area.
- Proven experience in home staging, interior design, or a related field.
- Strong attention to detail with an impeccable eye for design.
- Ability to work independently and lead a team, ensuring staging projects are executed efficiently.
- Comfortable with a dynamic, changing schedule—no two days are the same!
- Willing to roll up your sleeves and help with hands-on tasks, including lifting and moving staging items.
- Positive attitude, team player mentality, and a proactive problem solver.
- Ability to communicate clearly and confidently—direct with the team, warm and professional with clients.
- Must be comfortable wearing casual/comfy clothes suited for a physically active role.
