Job Description:
We are seeking an experienced and highly motivated Technical Marketing Engineer (TME) to join our Security TME team. You will be the technical expert on Aruba’s Security Service Edge (SSE) focused products and SASE functions, playing a crucial role in field enablement and product development.
Responsibilities:
- Serve as a technical expert for the SSE portfolio across key areas like SWG, CASB, ZTNA, DLP, and FWaaS.
- Support global field enablement, training sales engineers, partners, and resellers on technical value and competitive positioning.
- Develop and deliver impactful technical content including whitepapers, battlecards, solution briefs, videos, and blogs tailored to security architects, CISOs, and technical buyers.
- Collaborate with Product Management to influence roadmap based on customer feedback and market trends.
- Build and maintain live and recorded product demonstrations, hands-on labs, and proof-of-concept environments.
- Engage with customers, analysts, and partners as a technical expert at events, webinars, and briefings.
- Assist with competitive analysis and positioning, including hands-on comparisons.
Experience and Skills required:
- 5 years in a technical role such as TME, sales engineer, solutions architect, or product engineer in network security technologies.

At least 3 years of experience with SSE components:
- Secure Web Gateway (SWG)
- Cloud Access Security Broker (CASB)
- Zero Trust Network Access (ZTNA)
- Data Loss Prevention (DLP)
- Digital Experience Monitoring (DEM)
- Firewall-as-a-Service (FWaaS) - preferred but not required
- At least 5 years in networking concepts: TCP/IP, DNS, TLS/SSL, VPN, proxy, NAT, routing/switching.
- Hands-on knowledge of SASE architecture and zero trust principles.
- Experience with packet capture tools, debugging proxies, and analyzing HTTP/S traffic.
- Familiarity with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP) and identity providers (Okta, Entra ID, Ping).
- Industry certifications such as CISSP, CCNP Security, PCNSE, ZCCA-IA, or equivalent are preferred.
- Experience with Zscaler, Netskope, Prisma, Cisco Umbrella products and integrations is preferred.
Preference for this role is in San Jose, but for the qualified candidate, the team may be willing to consider a remote candidate located within the US.
