We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Polymer Dispersion Chemist to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in polymer synthesis, with expertise in emulsion, miniemulsion, and condensation polymerization in aqueous systems, including structured polymers. Experience with aqueous polymer colloid synthesis and manufacture is required.
Key Responsibilities:
Develop and optimize polymer colloids for various applications, including ink development and manufacturing processes.
Conduct thorough analysis and testing to ensure compliance with industry standards and regulatory requirements.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including R&D, manufacturing, and quality control, to drive innovation and improve product performance.
Provide technical support and guidance on R&D projects, including troubleshooting and problem-solving.
Stay updated on the latest advancements in polymer chemistry and incorporate new technologies and methodologies into our processes.
Prepare and present technical reports, documentation, and presentations to stakeholders.
Qualifications:
Ph.D. or Master's degree in Chemistry, Chemical Engineering, Polymer Science or a related field with a focus on aqueous polymer dispersions.
Minimum of 5 years of experience in polymer synthesis and development.
Strong knowledge of synthetic polymer dispersion chemistry and manufacturing methods.
Experience with techniques such as spectroscopy, thermal characterization, and rheology, and formulation/application experience.
Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Strong communication and presentation skills, with the ability to convey complex technical information to both technical and non-technical audiences.
Supplier management
Trained auditor and experience with certified facilities (ISO, GMP, EuPIA)
Program management
Good judgment and ability to make data driven decisions
Ability to work worldwide across functions and sites
Ability to partner and collaborate

The base pay range for this role is $118,000 to $181,800 annually with additional opportunities for pay in the form of bonus and/or equity (applies to US candidates only). Pay varies by work location, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience.
