What are the responsibilities and job description for the Barista position at Hewn?
Hewn, an independently owned and nationally recognized artisan bakery is looking for additional FOH/Baristas to join our team in at our new outpost in Winnetka, Illinois. Our ideal candidate is a self-starter, ambitious, friendly and hard-working. Experience in coffee and retail is a plus. Weekend availability is required. Part-time and full-time positions are available, and flexibility to work at both Evanston and Winnetka locations is preferred.
Responsibilities
- Prepare hot and cold drinks in accordance with customer needs
- Serve pastries and bread and answer questions about our products
- Maintain a clean and tidy work area
- Follow health and safety guidelines
- Interact with customers regularly and professionally
Qualifications
- Proven working experience as a barista
- High integrity with a great attendance record
- Strong attention to detail
- Ability to listen and communicate effectively
