Our team is searching for a Mechanical Engineer to drive product development activities and mechanical design best practices. In this role you will have the opportunity work on a wide variety of product designs from concept development through production support. The Location : Hexagon is a global company with locations around the world. This position is based in the oceanside community of Torrance, CA. One of the best places to live in California with ocean beaches, plenty of parks and endless sunny days.
Responsibilities
As Mechanical Engineer , you will :
Design new antenna products and components, and then develop your concepts into CREO models and mechanical drawings to capture design details
- Champion continuous improvement in our product designs and in our mechanical engineering practices, identifying and implementing improvements
- Support new business development through evaluating proposed mechanical requirements, generating compliance matrices, and generating technical responses to requests for proposal (RFPs)
- Support sales, product management, and operations by addressing customer questions, completing feasibility studies, supporting customer calls, and troubleshooting issues
- Conduct root cause analysis investigations for product mechanical issues, and then recommend, implement, and document corrective actions
- Document product design and manufacturing process changes through Engineering Change Orders
- Incorporate design for manufacturing principles into product designs
- Contribute to environmental test planning, execution, and documentation efforts against environmental requirements such as RTCA / DO-160G and MIL-STD-810G
- Collaborate with our parent company's mechanical engineering team to implement common engineering processes and best practices

Compensation & Benefits
Hexagon's Autonomy & Positioning division provides the following compensation range and a general description of other compensation and benefits. This compensation range is based on a full-time schedule. The Company reserves the right to pay more or less than the posted range or offer other compensation depending on circumstances not related to an applicant's sex or other status protected by local, state or federal law. Our benefits and bonus plans are reviewed annually and are subject to change at the company's discretion.
Hiring Salary Range : : $104,600 - $167,300 per annum
Bonus Eligibility : We offer a company profit share and individual incentive-based bonus programs.
