Job Description:
Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN)
Unrestricted license to practice as a Registered Nurse (RN) in the State of Colorado, or ability to obtain prior to start date
BLS certification.
NRP certification.
Fetal Monitoring Certification (AWHONN FHM Or NCC C-EFM).
STABLE certification.
Minimum of 1 year of experience as a perinatal RN required
Position Overview: The Obstetrics Registered Nurse provides professional nursing care in accordance with known/accepted standards of practice and AVH policy. Utilizes the Nursing Process to assess, plan, implement and evaluate nursing care. Works in support of the medical staff treatment plan and makes recommendations for changes to medical treatment plan as appropriate. Educates patients and family around the plan of care and disease management. Actively supports the nursing philosophy by striving for excellence in patient care, professional development, interpersonal relations, time management, and continuous quality improvement.
HOUSING: Extremely expensive, even more so in winter. Please consider housing options in the surrounding towns: Basalt, Carbondale, & Glenwood Springs. FYI ***/month is common for a 1 BR apartment in Basalt. Travelers looking for a housing budget less than this should probably not be submitted. Traveler will be responsible for securing their own housing for the duration of this assignment IMPORTANT NOTE: Traveler will be responsible for securing their own housing for the duration of this assignment
MUST be healthy enough to safely function in low oxygen environment (8,000' in elevation)
