Position Overview
This is a dynamic role within the Information Technology department, responsible for managing IT communications, developing training materials, and creating engaging content for Hexion associates. The position is highly visible and offers collaboration opportunities with various functions outside IT.
The ideal candidate will be instrumental in enhancing technology adoption, standardizing IT communications, and developing user-friendly training materials on key tools such as Microsoft 365 products and AI-driven workplace tools. This individual must be a fast-paced, highly organized, and professional communicator with strong proficiency in generative AI tools (ChatGPT, Copilot, etc.). The successful candidate should also have a desire to learn and champion the use of new tools for AI content creation such as VideoScribe and Canva.
Experience with AI-powered training customization is a strong plus.

Job Responsibilities
IT Communications & Training Content Development
- Develops and presents engaging training materials for IT systems, Microsoft 365 tools, and AI technologies
- Creates highly visual and intuitive PowerPoint presentations for training, tips/tricks, and internal IT communications
- Produces and publishes short training videos using VideoScribe and Canva to support technology adoption
- Writes and edits clear, concise, and engaging IT communications (emails, newsletters, FAQs, and user guides)
- Publishes articles and content on SharePoint Online (Hexion Connect) to support IT initiatives
- Designs quick reference guides, infographics, and other visual aids to simplify complex IT concepts.
- Coordinate and host global IT All-hands meetings
- Proficient in generative AI tools (ChatGPT, Copilot, and other AI assistants) to enhance communication efficiency
- Advises on best practices for AI tool adoption, productivity improvements, and secure usage within Hexion.
- Ensures proper use of AI tools, distinguishing between secured queries vs. queries that could expose sensitive data
- Understands custom training models and GPT development for internal use cases (preferred)
- Owns and manages IT content on Hexion Connect, ensuring accuracy and accessibility of IT training materials
- Administers key IT Teams sites and SharePoint Online pages, optimizing structure and usability
- Regularly updates and maintains IT policies, procedures, and governance documentation within SharePoint
- Delivers remote and in-person training sessions on IT tools and AI best practices
- Provides hands-on guidance to associates, ensuring smooth adoption of new technologies
- Collaborates with HR and Internal Communications to align messaging and training with company-wide initiatives
- Helps standardize IT communications across the organization
- Acts as a key player in Hexion’s digital transformation and strategic IT initiatives
- Assists in IT procurement, vendor management, and contract-related communications as needed
- Engages with IT leadership on critical projects, technology rollouts, and communications strategy

- 2 years of experience in communications or related field

- Experience with conversational AI tools (ChatGPT, Copilot, etc.) is required
- Proficiency with SharePoint Online for content creation and publishing

- Experience with VideoScribe and Canva for content creation
- Excellent organization, time management, and multi-tasking skills
- Ability to quickly learn and adapt to new technologies
