Heyl, Royster, Voelker & Allen, P.C., a regional law firm, based in Peoria, IL, with over 100 attorneys in seven offices, is seeking qualified applicants for a full-time Accounting Clerk position in our Peoria office.
A DAY IN THE LIFE AS AN ACCOUNTING CLERK
- As an Accounting Clerk, you will spend most of your time independently managing client invoice appeals using accounting software, billing sites, and other programs. You will reliably and accurately handle appeals for several office locations.
- You will excel at ensuring appeals are submitted in a timely and correct manner while adhering to departmental procedures.
QUALIFICATIONS TO BE AN ACCOUNTING CLERK
- Associate degree in Accounting and prior accounting experience preferred
- Previous work experience as an Accounting Clerk
- Exceptional computer skills working with Microsoft Office
- Must have hands-on experience with spreadsheets and proprietary software
- Excellent understanding of basic bookkeeping principles
- Proven ability to calculate, post, and manage accounting figures and financial records
- Outstanding degree of accuracy and attention to detail
- Effective verbal and written communication skills.

Compensation and Benefits
The base salary range is $17. to $21. an hour. The salary offered will take into account several factors including, but not limited to, geographic location, experience, scope & responsibilities of the role, qualifications/credentials, talent availability and specialization, as well as business needs. The range may be modified in the future.
