The Recruiting Manager will oversee the full-cycle recruitment process, develop strategic hiring initiatives, and ensure successful recruiting practices to support operational growth.
Essential Functions & Duties
- Develop and implement effective recruitment strategies to attract and retain qualified drivers.
- Manage the full-cycle recruitment process.
- Complete work effectively and accurately with a sense of urgency.
- Demonstrate confidentiality standards and judgement in handling personal information.
- Stay up to date on recruiting and advertising law and ensure company compliance.
- Stay current on industry trends and implement new recruiting and marketing strategies.
- Take overflow incoming calls from prospective candidates.
- Subject matter expert on Heyl Truck Lines and driving career opportunities we offer.
- Know and understand DOT Regulations, and Federal and State Employment laws.
- Meet of exceed specific weekly, monthly, and quarterly hiring goals.
- Track and analyze recruitment metrics to measure effectiveness of the recruiting team.
- Maintain superior customer service with candidates, internal departments, and team members.
- Utilize knowledge of multiple recruiting sources and execute innovative recruiting strategies to find quality candidates and prospect for new business.
- Manage and enhance company online presence and brand, including social media, website, and advertising campaigns.
- Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
- 2 years experience in a high-volume recruiting environment
- 1 year experience in the Transportation Industry
- 2 years experience with advertising/marketing preferred
- Previous experience with Tenstreet
- Strong organizational skills; ability to prioritize workload; attention to detail
- Effective interpersonal communication skills - both oral and written
- Pleasant and assertive/persuasive personality
- Interviewing skills to include the ability to listen and analyze answers and ask appropriate questions
- Self-motivated and self-directed
- Previous experience in a role where sound judgement, initiative, and tactful communication skills were demonstrated
- Ability to make decisions based on objective data obtained from applications and during interviews
- Ability to work within a team by providing support to other team members and maintaining productivity levels
- Advanced computer and software skills required
Education
- High school diploma or equivalent
Experience
- 2 years of experience in Sales/Customer Service/Transportation/Recruiting/Human Resources
Schedule
Monday - Friday 7:00am - 4:00pm
Average work week of 40 hours. Additional hours and weekend support will be required on an as-needed basis.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $50,000.00 - $65,000.00 per year
