Responsibilities
- Calculate, design, and generate AutoCAD and/or Revit files and construction documents to support MEP engineering needs for a variety of building types (commercial office, K-12 schools, municipal buildings, healthcare facilities, multifamily, etc.), especially in the area of HVAC, plumbing and other mechanical systems
- Project management responsibilities on both small and large projects, establish schedules, assign resources, monitor performance and keep project on time and on budget
- Maintain and organize all mechanical engineering related documents and schedules, along with any associated general project documents
- Provide review of mechanical design submittals and go into the field as needed to address any issues, conflicts, questions that may arise
- Generate and present project status updates as needed to a variety of internal and external audiences
- Work toward developing new business with existing and new clients through building relationships.
- Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical or other engineering discipline and at least 6 years relevant experience in HVAC or plumbing design and project management; MS degree is a plus
- Current PE License
- Previous work in AutoCAD and Revit is required, and familiarity with HVAC modeling programs such as TRACE700, CHVAC7.0, and/or AIRMaster is a big plus
- HVAC / Plumbing design and Project Management experience for commercial, multifamily, educational, health care and institutional buildings is a very strong plus
- Must have excellent communication skills and ability to interact effectively with a range of people from subcontractors to project owners
