Job Requirements
Minimum Education
- Associate or Bachelor degree in technical field or equivalent technical training
- Windows Server certification and/or Network (Cisco) certification is preferred
Minimum Work Experience
- Minimum of one year experience in the Information Systems field
- Supporting and troubleshooting PC hardware, softward and LANs/WANs
- Previous experience with PCs, LANs and networks
- Knowledge of or previous work within a hospital or medical field a plus
Required Skills
- Strong troubleshooting and problem solving skills
- Strong customer service skills

Essential Functions
- Coordinates problem-handling process for the information systems department, acting as the liaison between IS, vendors and end users throughout problem identification and resolution.
- Provides first-level and enhanced problem resolution for information systems services including: problem definition, research and resolution of less complex issues.
- Logs and monitors help desk calls and resolves issues.
- Manages end user network accounts as required.
- Provides support for PC software including Microsoft Operating Systems / Office Products and other related 3rd party applications.
- Implements and maintains hardware including PCs, thin clients, input devices and telephones.
- Assists with implementation of hardware installation and upgrades.
- Maintains documentation related to equipment inventory, repairs, returns, and system downtimes.
- Enforces stated security policies for IS supplied services (i.e. network, Internet, and Meditech).
- Maintains Meditech knowledge required to maintain passwords, menus and dictionaries, and maintains a general understanding of Meditech functionality.
- Actively identifies and participates in process improvement opportunities across the organization.
