Job Title: Setup Operator
Department: Operations
Reports To: Department Lead
Classification: Full-Time, Non-Exempt
Location: On-site
JOB OVERVIEW:
The Setup Operator is responsible for setting presses and other machines to manufacture gaskets and other similar products. This position will support the operations team by learning all presses in each press bank, ensuring parts are made with 100% accuracy while contributing to all tasks and responsibilities necessary for the team's success, and satisfying the needs of our customers according to HGC guidelines and ensuring parts are made with 100% quality and are shipped on time to all customers.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
- Tear down and set up new dies for machines with minimal downtime.
- Learn all required functions of presses in the press bank.
- Must operate the press at maximum speed, allowing for safety and consistent, accurate cut part outcome.
- Set up different presses per procedure with minimum downtime (insert die boards, load material, and check for correct material and yield per F.O.).
- Run material through the press, meet quality count and rate requirements according to customer and HGC guidelines.
- Constantly monitor for quality results, paying attention to detail and reporting defects.
- Ability to catch and/or move gaskets from press neatly to avoid distortion.
- Consistently meet efficiency goals per factory order.
- Separate box quantities according to customer guidelines.
- Follow written and verbal directions.
- Correctly fill out paperwork for each run.
- Measure and compare parts for accuracy.
- Read blueprints.
- Help prepare parts for shipping (including finishing). Removing scrap from gaskets and packing parts per instructions.
- Perform other duties as assigned

QUALIFICATIONS:
- High School Diploma/GED preferred
- Previous manufacturing experience a plus
PHYSICAL DEMANDS:
- Standing for long periods. 5-10 hours per day
- Walking for long periods. 1-5 hours per day
- Stoop, kneel, bend/crouch, and crawl. Occasionally
- Lift and carry objects (50 lbs. maximum). Occasionally

**$1000 Sign On Bonus**
