Purpose of the Job
The Director of Finance will play a crucial role in shaping the financial strategy and performance of HH Global. This position involves partnering with one of our Chief Client Officers (CCO) to drive commercial finance initiatives and support the company’s long-term growth objectives. The Director of Finance will also collaborate with the client engagement community to ensure a unified approach to performance management, forecasting and planning. This role requires a deep understanding of global commercial operations and market dynamics to optimize business performance and make informed financial decisions.
This is a hybrid position, with 3 days per week in either our Chicago, IL or New York City, NY office.
Key Responsibilities
Serve as the primary finance business partner on all commercial finance matters with one of HH Global’s CCOs.
Develop and implement financial strategies to support the company’s long-term growth objectives.
Partner closely with the broader client engagement community to ensure a consistent approach to driving performance, forecasting and planning.
Leverage a deep understanding of global commercial operations, including pricing and individual sector and geographic market dynamics, to optimize the performance of the business.
Constructively challenge the CCO on target setting for their teams.
Lead a team of commercial finance managers and analysts
Use KPIs and financial metrics to monitor, challenge and drive business performance
Lead the evaluation, provide financial insights and make decisions on commercial opportunities.
Understand the sectors we serve and competitors to ensure our commercial decision-making is informed by this knowledge.
Knowledge, Skills Experience
Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting or a related field; MBA or CPA preferred
10 years’ experience, with extensive experience in a senior finance role, preferably within a global commercial environment
Proven track record of developing and implementing financial strategies
Strong leadership skills with experience managing a team
Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities
Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills
Deep understanding of global commercial operations and market dynamics
Proficiency in financial forecasting, planning and performance management
Ability to constructively challenge and influence senior stakeholders
Strong knowledge of KPIs and financial metrics
Competitive in investment appraisal and business case evaluation

For Illinois and New York applicants: The US base salary range for this position is $150,000 to $170,000 annually. Actual compensation packages are based on a variety of factors that are unique to each candidate, including skill set, experience, certifications and work location. This range may be different in other locations due to differences in the cost of labor. The total compensation for this package includes annual performance bonus targets.
