Donalson Care Center is looking for an experience LPN or RN to join our nursing staff as a Unit Manager in a full-time position.
The basic purpose of this position is to provide direct nursing care to the residents, and supervise the day-to-day nursing activities of nursing staff under the direction of the DON/ADON.
Essential Functions:
- Assist the DON/ADON to monitor/maintain unit compliance with regulatory, accrediting and health system policy for resident services, and environmental and personal safety.
- Accurately identify real/potential problems affecting the service and implement solutions with follow-through and communication.
- Collaborate with the DON/ADON to a service that is consistent with the resident care beliefs and shared management philosophy of the unit.
- Consult with residents/families through primary nurse request, direct family request, and/or direct assessment of resident/family response and to assess resident/significant other survey responses regarding nursing care and services.
- Responsible for effective communication throughout the organization.
- In collaboration with DON/ADON, responsible for the unit's operational excellence; ensures unit delivers quality services in accordance with applicable policies, procedures, and professional standards.
- Maintain effective and appropriate staffing by monitoring employee turnover, overtime, and absenteeism.
- Effectively communicate departmental, organization, and industry information to staff.

- 5x8
- Monday - Friday
- 8:00 a.m. - 5:00 p.m.
Unit Coordinator Qualifications and Skills:
- State of Tennessee license (or eligible) as a Registered Nurse
- State of Tennessee license (or eligible) as a Licensed Practical Nurse
- 1 year of experience in a LTC facility required
- Experience in supervisory or management role required
- Must have effective communication skills
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: Up to $38.25 per hour
Expected hours: No less than 40 per week
