Job Description
Pride Health is hiring an Inpatient Medical Coder for one of its clients .
This is a 3 month contract with a possible extension with competitive pay and benefits.
Job Title- Inpatient Medical Coder
Location - Remote
Pay range - $25- $28 per hour on W2.
Length of assignment - 3 months possible extension
Shift - Schedule : Days : 8a-4 : 30p, Start time anywhere between 7am-8 : 30 am
Job Summary :
Required : Four years or more of progressive on-the-job experience in an acute care hospital setting as an Inpatient coder.
A certified Coding Specialist (CCS) is required and maintained thereafter. Associate's Degree or equivalent experience. Extensive knowledge of :
- ICD 10-CM diagnostic and ICD-10-PCS procedure codes
- UHDDS
- Various DRG methodologies (MS-DRG, APR-DRG, Tricare, etc.)
- IP Rehabilitation IRF-PAI coding requirement
- Clinical information related to areas of responsibility
- Microsoft Office Products; Word, Excel
- Encoder and / or CAC
