Job Overview
We are looking for a responsible and detail-oriented Senior Accountant to work under the direction of the Controller. Duties include supervision of accounting staff, management of accounts payable/receivable, account reconciliation and assisting with financial statement preparation. You must be able to work independently and with the highest levels of integrity.
The successful candidate will have exceptional accounting skills, be very well organized, and have excellent management skills.
Responsibilities:
- Overseeing accounts payable, accounts receivable, identifying discrepancies, and reconciling accounts
- Preparing financial reports
- Supporting the internal control system within the organization
- Supporting the accounting department with all aspects of the general ledger
- Ensuring strict compliance with company and regulatory requirements
- Preparing and assisting with audits
- Supporting the accounting department’s transition to new accounting software
- Other duties as assigned
Requirements:
- Degree in accounting, finance or in a related field
- Previous experience in a similar role
- Excellent understanding of GAAP and relevant financial accounting regulations
- Strong computer skills and knowledge of accounting software programs
- Proficient Excel skills
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Strong supervisory and management skills
- Excellent time management skills
- CPA designation preferred
Salary : $70,000 - $80,000
