Summary/Objective
The Shop Supervisor is to assist in the attainment of company goals through effective and efficient Supervision of the Hi-Lite Fleet and Shop. Further improve the level of performance in the Vehicle Maintenance Shop by training and supervising the employees, ensuring that a high level of service excellence is attained and sustained. Will be required to guide, direct, assist and coordinate the activities of all Shop/Warehouse personnel.

- Shop Management
- Prioritize and keep shop on task to ensure completion of work by deadlines
- Follow up on task assignments
- Ensure availability of parts, equipment, and supplies for each project
- Establish and track service requirements on vehicles to support and maximize Hi-Lite’s fleet longevity
- Assessment of equipment for replacement or repairs
- Building Maintenance
- Oversee security systems.
- Oversee day-to-day building maintenance and housekeeping
- Ensure all personnel use in an appropriate and safe manner the hand, power, and specialized tools used in the Maintenance Facility/
- Keep weekly inventory of materials / paint, beads, stencils, & etc..
- Cost/ Quality Control
- Review, follow and comply with parts budget
- Assist with establishing a parts budget
- Assist Parts Administrator when necessary
- Support crews on the road
- Establish and maintain vendor relationships
- Manage Quality Control / Quality Assurance to prevent damage to HI-LITE equipment and ensure the safety of HI-LITE personnel
- Equipment/ Inventory/ Scheduling/ Support
- Personally complete repairs as necessary to keep on schedule and to support other mechanics
- Communicate directly with Parts Administrator on repair parts needed
- Weekly review with shop personnel of week’s activities on equipment, repair parts, and personnel
- Overall responsibility for Shop special equipment assigned to all projects
- Troubleshoot and diagnoses system malfunctions and develop solutions, corrections or repairs
- Assist in accountability of all special tools and test equipment assigned to the Shop
- Support mechanics, crews, and fleet need on the road
- Travel to job sites as needed
- Assign shop travel schedules
- Safety/ Human Resources
- Oversee and ensure and enforce safety policies inside the Maintenance Facility
- Ensure employee, vendor and visitor compliance with regard to PPE
- Enforce the company dress code for all personnel assigned to the Facility
- Must practice defensive driving at all times on and off the job
- Communicate accident prevention advice
- Enforce company policies including written and verbal disciplinary actions
- Assist in employee reviews and develop individual goals to improve mechanics performance
Required Skills
- Demonstrate leadership, communication, and organizational skills. Verbal and written
- Must have basic knowledge of computer maintenance programs
- Must pass annual medical examination per Department of Transportation (DOT) regulations

Expected Hours of Work
This is a Full-time position, 40 hours a week. Typically, 7:00am to 4:00pm
Travel
Extensive travel may be required.
Required Education and Experience
- High school diploma or GED equivalent
- Seven years’ experience in vehicle maintenance (three of the seven years’ experience must be of a supervisory capacity)
- ASE and technical trade school certificates may be considered replacement for some experience.
Eligibility Qualifications
- 10-year criminal background search.
- Clean driving history
- Pre-employment drug screen
- Valid Driver's License (REAL ID).
- Social Security Card.
Additional Eligibility Qualifications
- Experience with acetylene and electric arc welding.
- Have own tools

Salary : $85,000 - $95,000
