Job Title: 2nd Shift CNC Turn/Lathe Operator

Job Responsibilities:
- Operate regular (horizontal) or VTL (vertical) lathe machines
- Analyze and interpret Op sheets, blueprints, mechanical drawings, and travelers to produce products that meet or exceed customer specifications
- Verify conformance of finished workpiece to customer specifications, using precision measuring tools and equipment as necessary (micrometers, calipers, gauges [pin, thread, indicator, height], optical comparators, and coordinate measuring machines [CMM]
- Maintain working knowledge of CNC principles, including G and M codes
- Maintain working knowledge of rotary/linear axes
- Selects, aligns, and secures fixtures, tooling, and workpieces on machines as necessary to machine parts as required
- Analyze and interpret CMM reports and properly offset machine dimensions to meet customer specifications
- Perform deburring operations to within specified tolerances
- Document actions by updating control charts, travelers, and reporting labor in the ERP system
- Perform under AS9100 quality standards and NADCAP accreditation
- Maintain a safe and clean work environment by performing daily housekeeping duties
- Any other duties as assigned to help drive our vision, fulfill our mission, and abide by our organization's values
Requirements:
- High school diploma or GED required
- CNC Machining certificate from a Trade School or acceptable work experience in lieu of schooling
- Must meet the ITAR definition of §120.15 U.S. person
- Lathe, Shaft, or turning experience required - Min 1 yr
- Experience in an industrial/manufacturing environment, aerospace industry strongly preferred
Working Conditions:
- Lift, push, and/or pull up to thirty-five pounds regularly
- Operate overhead crane or other lifting equipment when necessary
- Stand at least 95% of the scheduled shift
- Walking or climbing stairs as needed to perform job duties as assigned
- Routinely perform reaching, twisting, bending, and grasping to move and set tools, equipment, and materials
- Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, color perception, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus. 20/20 vision (natural or corrected) required with the ability to pass annual vision test as required
