Job Summary
The Manager in Training is a key role within our Operations department, responsible for assisting the Store Manager with overall operations and administrative duties. This position requires strong customer service skills, knowledge of our product areas, and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist the Store Manager in controlling assets, establishing action plans, and ensuring profitability in all departments.
- Provide guidance to employees and customers, maintain inventory records, and keep the Store Manager informed about sales statistics and customer trends.
- Promote and sell services and merchandise, uphold company policies and procedures, and protect company assets and financial information.
- Serve as an ambassador of Hibbett I City Gear, creating a unique customer experience and helping to acquire and retain long-time customers.
Requirements
- 1-3 years of customer service experience in a retail environment, preferably in footwear and athletic apparel.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, manage a team, and meet overall goals and profits.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously.
- Team-player with a passion for outstanding customer service and selling merchandise.
