Job Summary
The Hibbing Public Utilities Commission is seeking an experienced Electrical Engineer to join our team. As a key member of our Instrumentation & Electrical (I&E) Department, you will be responsible for leading engineering design, maintenance, and construction projects related to transmission and distribution substations. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in electrical power systems, instrumentation and controls, and substation construction and operations.
Key Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering or related field
- Professional Engineer (PE) license preferred or ability to obtain within a reasonable time frame
- 5 years of experience in electrical power systems, substation design, transmission/distribution, or related fields
- Experience with SCADA, protective relaying, and automation systems highly desirable
