The Facility Maintenance Performance Director (FMPD) works directly with and under the immediate supervision of the Corporate Director of Engineering Services.
The primary function is to deliver, educate and assess maintenance and environmental services policies and practices, optimize property performance, achieve company compliance goals, promote safe workplace conditions, and delivering exceptional customer service while meeting defined objectives. The Facility Maintenance Supervisor is the FMPD’s on site contact for analyzing property performance related to maintenance and housekeeping standards. The Facility Maintenance Performance Director will provide support to all Hickory Recovery leadership representatives through effective communication and detailed reporting analytics.
Experience/Skills
- Preferably minimum 2 years’ experience with progressively increased levels of responsibility managing property maintenance or healthcare facility projects.
- Previous team supervisory and training experience within healthcare or multi-family operations or construction.
- Preferably minimum 2 years’ experience managing diverse types of communities – new construction, renovations, mid-rise, multi family housing and healthcare occupancies.
- Knowledge of NFPA 99 and NFPA 101 Standards, Joint Commission Policies and Procedures, HFAP standards, ISDH, OSHA, EPA, DHS, and applicable standards and guidelines.
- Proven strong track record of successful personnel management.
- Effective oral and written communication skills, tact, diplomacy, and performance assessment skills.
- Strong interpersonal skills. Must have strong presentation and facilitation skills.
- Effective use of communication and tact with stakeholders.
- Strong analytical thinking skills; intellectual rigor and curiosity; problem-solving capability.
- Data-driven, disciplined, objective, and detail-oriented.
Key responsibilities include but are not limited to the following:
- Performs scheduled facility inspections across multiple locations and ensures campuses meet established goals.
- Ensures area properties follow various regulatory requirements including EPA, OSHA, and local or state health and safety ordinances.
- Assists Director of Engineering Services by providing feedback and recommendations on vendor performance.
- Serves as a liaison for field maintenance and housekeeping personnel when technical questions or issues arise. meeting operational objectives and quality standards.
- Monitors preventative maintenance program to ensure each campus is following policy & procedures and meets required metrics as established.
- Participates in or facilitates hands-on and classroom training programs for maintenance.
- Establishes vendor rapport and compliance to ensure best-in-class service is being achieved.
- Remain knowledgeable of industry maintenance best practices.
- Conducts scheduled annual inspections of each property and reports conditions to Corporate Director of Engineering Services
- Assists with Property Management assigned capital projects.
- Ensure facility maintenance meets the highest safety, compliance, and cleanliness standards in partnership with corporate facilities.
- Assists with the physical aspects of all due diligence initiatives on new properties as requested.
- Assist facilities in preparation of surveys and audits and assist the executive leadership Team and corporate departments in audit preparation, inspection and audit response actions representing company to regulatory agencies and inspectors.
- Other building and grounds maintenance or renovation duties as assigned by the Corporate Director of Engineering Services, including hands on maintenance tasks.
- Primary region is 80% Indiana 20% out of state
- Overnight travel required up to 20% of the time with reasonable lead-time.
