Veterinary Technician | Full-Time or Part-Time | AMBLER LOCATION
Hickory Veterinary Primary Care (located at 500 Willow Avenue Ambler PA) is seeking an experienced or certified veterinary technician that will work hand in hand with our doctors to develop and institute medical protocols in which to care for our clients.
Hickory Veterinary Care is a privately owned, start-up, veterinary hospital, located in Ambler, PA opened November 1, 2023. We are a facility focused on providing excellent primary care to our small-animal patients and we are excited to build a practice alongside a positive and passionate team.

Responsibilities :
- Assist veterinarians in the exam rooms.
- Perform venipuncture for phlebotomy and catheter placement.
- Obtain samples, process, and possibly interpret the results of everyday general practice laboratory test (ear cytology, blood smear).
- Document medical records.
- Administer vaccinations and medications (oral, topical, injectable).
- Fill prescriptions and review directions with clients.
- Communicate with and educate clients.
- Monitor cleanliness of the hospital.
- Cross train as client service representative to answer phones, book appointments and finalize and process client billing.
Candidates will be expected to perform moderately physically demanding work, i.e., lifting up to 50 lbs., bending and kneeling repeatedly throughout the day, restraining small and large animals in a fear free manner… etc.
This position will average 36-40 hours per week (full time) or 16-21 hours per week (part time), working a schedule that falls between the hours of 8am – 7pm, Monday through Friday, and Saturdays 8am-1pm. Technical experience is required for this position.

Salary : From $18-24 / hours pending personal technician experience
