Position Summary:
As a Logistics Supervisor, you will lead the critical functions of transportation, inventory management, and product distribution. You’ll build strong relationships with shipping vendors and internal teams to optimize logistics operations and ensure customer satisfaction. This role requires a proactive leader with strong organizational skills, an eye for continuous improvement, and a passion for driving results in a fast-paced environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Oversee logistics operations, including inbound/outbound traffic and inventory management.
- Coordinate with warehouse staff to optimize storage, shipping, and receiving processes.
- Manage and analyze logistics performance metrics, implementing improvements as needed.
- Lead, train, and evaluate logistics staff to ensure operational excellence.
- Develop and maintain vendor relationships, negotiating contracts and resolving issues.
- Ensure compliance with transportation regulations, safety standards, and company policies.
- Collaborate with other departments to streamline operations and meet company goals.
- Conduct regular audits and prepare reports on logistics activities.
- Assist with material handling, inventory counts, and ERP data updates as needed.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, or Business Administration is preferred.
- 3 years of supervisory experience in shipping/receiving within a manufacturing environment.
- Knowledge of Lean Manufacturing and 5S principles; ISO 9001 experience preferred.
- Forklift operator certification and familiarity with DOT and OSHA regulations.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook) and ERP systems.
- Strong leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities while maintaining attention to detail.
Physical Demands:
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and perform tasks requiring physical activity.
- Work in varying conditions, including exposure to noise, oils, and extreme temperatures.

Pay: $67,000.00 - $75,000.00 per year depending on experience
