What are the responsibilities and job description for the Lifeguard (Seasonal) position at Hidden Valley Lake Association?

- Teach swim lessons as required
- To protect the lives of others as well as your own.
- To prevent injuries by minimizing or eliminating hazardous situations or behaviors.
- To consistently enforce facility rules, regulations, and policies, as well as educate pool patrons about them, as needed.
- To recognize and respond effectively to all emergencies. This may mean using CPR, first aid, or performing water rescues as needed.
- To work with other pool guardians or HVLA staff when you need more help.
- To recognize and appropriately respond to fecal, vomit, and blood related accidents in the pool
- To vacuum the pool and clear skimmer filters on the weekends and holidays as scheduled.
- To check, measure, and log pool chlorine levels on weekends and holidays as scheduled.
- To log accidents, and incidents whenever they occur with written reports.
