Title:Process Engineer
Location:Ann Arbor
Salary:$80k-$125K
Responsibilities:
- Prepare comprehensive proposals and associated documentation for clients.
- Develop budget plans by researching similar systems, assessing operational cost requirements (OCRs), and obtaining vendor quotations.
- Design automation solutions and create layouts necessary for proposal development.
- Conduct calculations to ensure proposed equipment aligns with customer specifications.
- Create vendor/supplier request for quotation (RFQ) packages for outsourcing, ensuring consistent content across entities.
- Maintain and manage a database of task requests.
- Offer technical support to both internal teams and external customers.
- Analyze and interpret RFQ and specification documents from clients.
- Collaborate with internal departments to align costing, concepts, and capabilities for project execution.
- Provide engineering support for projects after sale and update pre-sales calculations based on final design specifications.
- Serve as a technical consultant for design engineers, assisting with optional and custom equipment requirements.
- Offer on-site technical support to account managers and customer service teams, including technical lineups, application reviews, presentations, and troubleshooting of processes and equipment.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in mechanical, industrial, or electrical engineering. Alternatively, equivalent combined work experience totaling 10 years in automation engineering or related fields.
- Possesses a strong technical understanding of automation systems.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience working with configurable technical products or within a manufacturing environment.
- Proficiency in 2D AutoCAD with basic capabilities in 3D CAD.
- Familiarity with Programmable Logic Controllers (PLC), Human-Machine Interface (HMI), and/or Robot Controllers.
