Job Summary
We are seeking a motivated and friendly Counter Sales Clerk to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for providing excellent customer service, managing transactions, and maintaining a well-organized counter area. This role requires strong communication skills and the ability to upsell products while ensuring customer satisfaction.
Duties
- Greet customers warmly and assist them with their inquiries.
- Process sales transactions accurately using the POS system.
- Upsell products and services to enhance the customer experience.
- Maintain an organized and stocked counter area, ensuring all products are displayed attractively.
- Handle cash and credit transactions with basic math skills to ensure accuracy.
- Communicate effectively with customers over the phone, providing information about products and services.
- Work with the Service Manager and Warehouse/Delivery Manager, fostering a collaborative work environment.
- Monitor inventory levels and assist in restocking as necessary.
Experience
- Previous experience in retail sales or a customer service role is preferred but not required.
- Familiarity with basic math and retail math concepts is essential for accurate transaction processing.
- Experience with POS systems is a plus.
- Strong phone etiquette and communication skills are necessary for effective customer interactions.
- Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment while also being able to take initiative when need
