Job Summary: The Deposit Operations Manager will support the Assistance Vice President (AVP Operations) by managing the Operations department and its employees while overseeing day to day operations. In the event that this position is vacant, the Deposit Operations Manager will report directly to the Vice President (VP) of Operations.
Supervisory Responsibilities: Interviews, hires, trains, and develops employees.
Completes employee reviews.
Employee Recognition / Disciplinary Action
Duties/Responsibilities: Responsible for managing, monitoring, and balancing of daily branch cash level, teller cash limits, cash vault and ATM.
Responsible for managing the daily overdraft report; monitor and close overdraft accounts; providing closure to VP of Operations for reporting to collections accordingly.
Responsible for the Branch Operations Report of monthly, quarterly, semi-annual and annual audits.
Hold bi-weekly meetings with employees to review, train, and develop on variety of topics.
Responsible for internal controls (compliance, dual control, overrides, etc.).
Comply with Branch Security and Branch Auditing procedures.
Responsible for assigned employee account reviews.
Assigns side duties.
Responsible for maintaining employees work schedules.
Maintains over / short records of tellers.
Maintains a work area that ensures the safety of all negotiables and confidential records.
Perform opening and closing procedures.
Assist and resolve customers with issues that may arise.
Performs services for customers such as ordering debit cards and checks.
Answer inquiries regarding checking and savings accounts and other bank related products.
Resolve issues and problems with customer accounts, remote banking and debit cards.
Knowledge of products offered.
Identifies and capitalizes on opportunities to promote new banking services.
Perform both opening of new accounts and closing of accounts.
Assists in preparing monies for deposit or shipment to branch banks or the Federal Reserve Bank.
Performs and assess requests for all Overrides if needed.
Answering multi line phone system.
Balances all monies in cash drawers at the end of shifts if needed.
Knowledge and understanding of all software used to perform job duties.
Cashes checks, performs withdrawals and disburses funds after verifying signatures and sufficiency of funds to support withdrawals.
Accepts deposits, loan payments, safe deposit box payments, confirming accuracy of transaction.
Prepares, verifies, and issues bank checks and money orders.
Prepares and submits outgoing wire transfers.
Enters transactions in banks recordkeeping system, recording all transactions and producing customer receipts.
Evaluates checks to verify endorsements, dates, identification of persons receiving payments, bank names, and overall legality of the documents.
Calculates daily transactions using appropriate technology.
Performs other related duties as assigned.Compliance Requirements:
