Job Duties of the Accounts Payable Manager:
- Lead a very large team of Accounts Payable Specialists.
- Set and monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) to evaluate staff efficiency and accuracy, as well as track system performance metrics.
- Supervise all accounts payable functions, ensuring the timely and precise processing of vendor invoices and payments, particularly during the monthly general ledger close.
- Manage all forms of disbursements, including checks, wire transfers, ACH payments, and account transfers.
- Ensure prompt posting of all wires, ACH transactions, and account transfers.
- Guarantee the accurate and on-time processing of vendor payments.
- Prepare and file IRS Form 1099 for all applicable vendors, ensuring compliance with federal and state tax requirements.
- Collaborate with the Treasury Department to assist in cash forecasting and cash flow analysis, providing reliable payment data and insights.
- Oversee the daily operations of the Concur expense reporting system, ensuring timely and accurate processing of employee expense reports.
- Develop, document, and maintain policies and procedures aligned with best practices and Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP).
- Design and conduct training sessions on Accounts Payable policies and procedures for the organization.
- Develop and track key metrics while driving continuous improvement efforts to increase efficiency, reduce processing times, streamline workflows, and support business goals.
- Assist in preparing financial statements and supporting documents for quarterly reviews and annual audits.
Must Haves:
- A minimum of 3 years in an Accounts Payable Manager position
- Experience supervising a team of 15 AP specialists
- Proven experience in AP management
