Payroll Specialist

Position Overview: Our client, a well-established national electrical construction company in operation since the early 2000s, is seeking a Payroll Specialist to join their team. This role is responsible for managing payroll-related tasks with a strong emphasis on Davis-Bacon and certified payroll compliance.
Key Responsibilities:
- Handle pre-time processing for weekly payroll, ensuring accuracy and compliance before final submission
- Calculate hourly rates to ensure compliance with wage requirements
- Manage required forms and documentation
- Review and verify subcontractor payroll submissions
- Prepare and submit weekly filings in accordance with regulations
- Utilize the LCP tracker portal for accurate reporting and record-keeping
- Prepare and submit required documentation for NREL projects, ensuring compliance with project-specific requirements
- Oversee OA Certificates and manage apprentice agreements, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements and company standards
- Manage new hire setup
- Process rate changes in compliance with company policies
- Manage PTO accrual adjustments based on employee eligibility
- Update benefit changes to reflect employee selections and modifications
Qualifications:
- Prior experience with Davis-Bacon and Certified Payroll compliance
- 5 years of in-house, full-cycle payroll experience
- Experience in construction payroll
- Familiarity with Spectrum and UKG software
- In-depth understanding of U.S. payroll and tax processes required
- Knowledge of payroll laws and regulations
- Must successfully pass a background check and drug test, including screening for cannabis and THC
Salary : $26 - $34
