Job Overview

We are a dynamic, fast-paced, and tech-savvy equine veterinary practice providing top-notch care to horses in the Steamboat Springs area. Our team of three veterinarians serves clients in Northwest Colorado through barn calls and a haul-in facility, - no actual patients are seen at our office.

We are looking for a Customer Service Rockstar to join our friendly, supportive, and fun team on the front desk. This is a part time job to support our growing business, you will ideally work 20-25 hours over Tuesdays, Wednesdays and a half day on Thursday mornings. What you'll do:

  • Be the friendly, professional face and first point of contact for clients—in person, by phone, and via email
  • Schedule appointments for our veterinarians and keep everything running smoothly using online practice management software
  • Triage emergencies over the phone and follow protocols to ensure caring, fast response to medical needs
  • Help clients pick up prescriptions, grain, and supplies with confidence and care.
  • Problem-solve and pivot—things change fast, and you’ll help keep us one step ahead
  • Use Slack to stay connected with the team and Canva to create simple marketing materials or client handouts (creativity welcome!)
  • Keep records organized and accurate with Excel, Word, and Google Docs as required, while keeping the physical space clean and professional
  • Assist in back office duties such as cleaning surgical instruments, counting inventory and other tasks.
  • Perform occasional personal assistant duties for the business owner, such as scheduling personal appointments, school events and sorting mail.
  • Keep a friendly can-do attitude and a calming smile on your face! Drama is not our style!

  • Animal lover—you don’t have to be a horse expert, but we exist to make horses lives better so a passion for animal care is a must!

Qualifications:

  • High School Diploma and above
  • Proven experience in customer service and office assistant roles.
  • Experience with data entry, filing, and calendar management
  • Ability to lift over 50 lbs and pass a background check on hiring.

While we appreciate a veterinary or medical background, it’s NOT necessary! What really matters is your positive, no-job-too-hard attitude and self-motivated drive to learn and grow. We provide full training!
