What are the responsibilities and job description for the Respite Coordinator position at High Desert Family Services?
High Desert Family Services is seeking a full-time Respite Coordinator to work in our Behavioral Health Program.
Main Duties under Supervision and in Coordination with team:
- Service Planning (prepare and revise the service plan in accordance to timelines)
- Coordinate the implementation of the service plan and monitor use of respite
- Read and sign off on respite notes and incident reports
- Attend weekly supervision
- Monthly face to face contact with the child and respite provider (home visits and/or zoom) and annual home evaluations
- Write monthly contact notes
- Participation in crisis oncall rotation and training foster parents
Qualifications
- Be at least 18 years old, Have a desire and interest in working with children, Possess a high school, GED or higher education, valid NM driver’s license, pass local, state, federal background and reference checks, have verbal and written communication skills adequate to the specific job, have basic computer/typing skills to complete online progress notes and timesheets, be able to multi-task, and have good organizational and time management skills.
