Job Overview
We are seeking a skilled CAD Designer to join our dynamic team. Ideal candidates should have a manufacturing background and be highly detail-oriented. We are looking for someone who is self-motivated and can work well in both individual and team environments. This person will be responsible for projects from initial design to final details, including all aspects of the finished product. As a CAD Designer, you will play a crucial role in developing detailed designs and models that meet industry standards and client specifications. Your creativity and technical expertise will contribute to innovative solutions that drive our projects forward.
Responsibilities
- Create and modify 2D and 3D CAD models using software such as SolidWorks and Inventor.
- Prepare new detailed prints, schematics, and documentation for manufacturing of units, make revisions when necessary.
- Verify that all designs and drawings are free of errors.
- Must have a solid understanding and application of design standards.
- Collaborate with engineers and other team members to ensure designs meet functional requirements.
- Participate in design reviews and provide input on product improvements.
- Visits production line for the purpose of establishing and maintaining a good relationship with production personnel
- Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written or oral form.
- Maintain organized records of all design files and revisions.
- Comply with all policies, practices and responsibilities.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Language Skills
- Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions and procedure manuals, and technical procedures.
- Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers and customers.
Computer Operations
- Proficient computer skills including electronic mail, record keeping, routine database activity, word processing, spreadsheets, and graphs.
- Inventor, Autodesk
Preferred Skills/Experience
- Proficiency in CAD software such as SolidWorks and Inventor
- Understanding of manufacturing processes and construction design
- Strong communication skills and a team player mindset
- Experience in RV, Transit, Trailer, or other manufacturing design preferred, but not required.
- Must have strong verbal and written communication skills, strong analytical and quantitative skills.
