We are looking for a motivated and detail-oriented Relationship Assistant to join our fast-paced and growing team in Longmont.
Your Mission
As a Relationship Assistant, you will be key in ensuring the smooth and efficient operation of our lending processes. You will partner with Relationship Managers and Portfolio Managers to coordinate loan requests, renewals, and maintenance. Your proactive communication and attention to detail will help the team plan ahead and meet deadlines. Additionally, you will act as a main point of contact for customers, developing strong relationships and delivering excellent service. Your work will directly support the bank's success and ensure customer satisfaction.

The Day to Day
Your daily activities will be varied and engaging. You will coordinate internal meetings, handle loan documents, and ensure the accuracy of data in our systems. You will communicate with customers to gather paperwork, answer questions, and facilitate loan transactions. You will also work closely with third parties, such as title companies and appraisers, to obtain necessary information and drive loans through the closing process. Additionally, you will monitor loan files, track deadlines, and address any issues that may arise.
What You Bring to High Plains Bank
Qualifications
- High School Diploma or equivalent
- A degree in business, finance, or accounting is a plus
Essential Skills and Knowledge
- Problem-solving ability
- Strong organizational and time-management skills
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite or Google Suite
- Ability to learn and use banking software and systems
Desirable Skills and Knowledge
- Knowledge of loan processing and documentation
- Title insurance experience
- Notary Public certification
- Bilingual in Spanish is a plus
Responsibilities of the Position
Key Accountabilities
- Engage with the Relationship Manager as a partner.
- Schedule and conduct weekly meetings.
- Coordinate internal work on loan requests, renewals, and maintenance.
- Serve as a primary point of contact for customers and third parties on administrative matters.
- Drive loans through the bank’s internal processes.
- Ensure that loan files, covenants, payments, and deadlines are maintained.
- Coordinate customer connections with others in the bank.
Other Responsibilities
- Make loan payments and advances.
- Obtain necessary third-party information (appraisals, title, insurance, etc.).
- Provide payoff information to customers and other parties.
- Manage loan documents and ensure accuracy.
- Process adverse action loans and assist with HMDA reporting.
- Perform other duties as assigned.

Target compensation range
- $22.00 to $28.00 per hour based on experience and qualifications - other factors may be considered.
Physical Requirements
- Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
Location and Schedule
- In person at our Longmont, CO location
- 8-5 Monday - Friday
