POSITION PURPOSE
High Plains Farm Credit is currently recruiting a Vice President – Finance to manage the Interest Rate Risk modeling function. The Vice President – Finance will conduct ad-hoc financial analysis as well as serve as a strategic advisor to the SVP – Chief Strategy Officer. The Vice President – Finance will contribute to the overall Asset-Liability Management strategies for HPFC and serve as a member of the Asset-Liability Committee (ALCO).
JOB FUNCTIONS
- Develop and implement sophisticated models to measure interest rate risk.
- Ensure modeling methodologies and processes reflect best practices and appropriately enhance the overall Asset-Liability Management process.
- Collaborate with the Vice President – Treasurer and the Risk department to align interest rate risk strategies with overall financial goals.
- Provide leadership around interest rate risk topics, including measurement and sources of Interest Rate Risk to ALCO.
- Conduct detailed financial analysis to support strategic decision making.
- Support various departments with financial modeling and analysis as needed.
- Develop, coordinate and present interest rate risk training within the Association and for the Board.
- Develop key relationships with other Farm Credit System institutions.
QUALIFYING CHARACTERISTICS
- Bachelor’s degree in finance, management information systems, business administration, economics or related field.
- Strategic thinker with the ability to anticipate and respond to market trends and competitive changes.
- Demonstrate proficiency in financial strategy development, analysis, and execution.
- Skill in utilizing various software applications to increase efficiency and/or effectiveness.
