The Business Development Representative will focus on customer acquisition, lead generation and prospect management. This role is responsible for researching client business referrals, cold calling and following up on web leads. The ideal candidate must be energetic, well-spoken and eager to close sales and increase revenue.
Additionally, the Business Development Representative will play a critical role in implementing account-based marketing (ABM) strategies. This involves identifying and targeting high-value accounts that align with the company’s business objectives. The representative will collaborate closely with both marketing and sales teams to develop and execute personalized campaigns designed to engage key stakeholders within these accounts.
Responsibilities include leveraging data-driven insights to create tailored outreach strategies, nurturing relationships with key decision-makers, and ensuring consistent communication to drive account engagement. The representative will also monitor the success of ABM campaigns, adapt strategies as needed, and actively contribute to increasing the company’s footprint in targeted markets.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Having knowledge of High Point Networks business products and value proposition
- Identifying and mapping business strengths and customer needs
- Researching business opportunities and viable income streams
- Following industry trends locally and internationally
- Reporting on successes and areas needing improvements
- Identifying, qualifying, and securing business opportunities; coordinating business generation activities; developing customized targeted sales strategies
- Building business relationships with current and potential clients
- Understanding client needs and offering solutions and support; answering potential client questions and follow-up call questions
- Collaborating with sales and leadership to secure, retain, and grow accounts
- Creating and maintaining a list/database of prospect clients; maintaining a database of prospective client information
- Cold calling; making multiple outbound calls to potential clients; closing sales and working with the client through the closing process
- Meeting all quotas for cold, active, inactive calls, appointments, and interviews; meeting or exceeding annual sales goals
- Maintaining a pipeline of all sales administration using company tools
- Collaborating with management on sales goals, planning, and forecasting; maintaining short- and long-term business development plans
- Reporting on successes and areas needing improvements
- Other duties as assigned
- Experience with lead generation and prospect management
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills; the ability to call, connect, and interact with potential customers

- Able to professionally and confidently communicate with C-Level Executives
- High school degree or equivalent
- Four years of cold calling experience; previous experience in an outbound call center, inside sales experience, or related sales experience; knowledge of sales process from initiation to close
