The High Point Rockers are an independent professional baseball team dedicated to providing an exciting and entertaining experience for our supporters. As a part of our Marketing and Entertainment team, we are seeking an enthusiastic and creative Mascot Intern to join us in bringing joy and excitement to our fans.
Job Summary: The Mascot Intern will play a key role in creating memorable experiences for our fans by embodying and performing as our beloved team mascot. You will assist in executing high-energy and entertaining routines during games and various community events. This internship provides an excellent opportunity to gain hands-on experience in sports entertainment, event management, and fan engagement.
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform as the team mascot at home games, community events, and other appearances.
- Interact with fans of all ages, creating memorable and positive experiences.
- Assist in planning and choreographing mascot routines, skits, and interactive activities.
- Maintain and care for mascot costumes and props.
- Collaborate with the Marketing and Entertainment team to create engaging content for social media and promotional activities.
- Participate in off-season appearances and community outreach initiatives.
- Attend team meetings and training sessions as required.
Qualifications:
- Enthusiasm and a strong desire to entertain and engage fans.
- Ability to perform and convey emotion through non-verbal actions.
- Energetic, outgoing, and comfortable in crowds and public settings.
- Creative and adaptable, with a good sense of humor.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Willingness to work irregular hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
- Must be at least 16 years old.
