What are the responsibilities and job description for the Parking Coordinator position at High Point University?
The Parking Coordinator will be responsible for overseeing the High Point University Parking Terms and Conditions, coordinate the Early Decision Parking Program, issue parking decals for vehicles, manage the citation appeals process, responsible for checking and responding to emails at parking@highpoint.edu, and will also assist with planning and coordinating transportation for university events/travel utilizing the equipment assigned to the staff member.
QUALIFICATIONS:
Education: High School Diploma or GED
Experience and Training: Previous parking enforcement experience is desired but not required. Customer service background with face to face interactions.
Knowledge, Skills, Ability:
- Applicants should be self-motivated with a strong attention to detail and be interested in improving the safety of the HPU campus and enforcing the parking regulations.
- Must be able to walk/stand for extended periods.
- Must be able to be trained on and operate assigned equipment.
- Possess at minimum a Class C North Carolina Driver License.
- Independent, self-motivated.
- Detail-oriented.
- Reliable, trustworthy, and passionate.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
- Sign out assigned equipment.
- Identify illegally parked vehicles on main campus.
- Manage and maintenance the C-Park Application.
- Grant or deny parking citation appeals by utilizing the C-Park Application.
- Email an appeal decision to students, faculty, and staff.
- Serve as the in-person point of contact for transportation for university events.
- Remain professional and non-confrontational at all times.
- Must be able to effectively communicate in a professional manner.
- Reports to the Director of Transportation and Parking.
- Be willing to work outside in all types of weather conditions.
- Stay alert for moving vehicular traffic at all times.
- Other duties as assigned by supervisor.
