High School for Recording Arts is looking for a creative licensed School Social Worker to join our team. In this role, we are looking for a Social Worker with experience in working with a highly diverse group of youths. This person will have a solid foundation on building and maintaining healthy, positive and meaningful relationships with our students, families and staff. In this role, the Social Worker will collaborate with the student, the students IEP team, and additional support staff to ensure the students needs are being met at a high level of engagement. Additionally, they would be knowledgeable in community resources, trauma informed methods. The social worker would be a link between school, home and community to provide direct and in-direct services to students and families. Requirements :
Applicants to be HSRA School Social Worker should have a philosophy that brings a creative, fun, and student centered focus that challenges, engages, and empowers all students. They should be self-starters, excited for collaboration, and be able to work interdisciplinary. They should have experience in working with students who are receiving special education services.
- MN Social Work License is required. Bachelors or Masters degree in Social Work
- Minnesota Board of Social Work Licensure
- Prefer a minimum of 3 years experience in the field
- Experience in working with students in crisis
- Prior successful experience in urban, multicultural practice is desirable.
- Experience working with adolescents, youth agencies, social services, and school systems.
- Will assist in staff development by enhancing an environment that promotes safety regarding mandated reporting, healthy boundaries and trauma informed care practices.
- Advocacy skills, including good communication skills, intervention and restorative techniques.
- Organizational skills, flexibility and ability to work in a variety of settings.
