To provide counseling, education, and support to clients with substance abuse issues
JOB SUMMARY:
The Clinical Receptionist is responsible for interacting with guests and managing administrative tasks for the clinical team. Their duties include greeting visitors, maintaining appointments, and providing directions to people in person and on the phone. The Clinical Receptionist may also perform clerical work and disseminate information to clinical staff.
MAJOR JOB DUTIES:
- Creates a customer-friendly environment consistent with the Alina Lodge care model.
- Demonstrates regard for the dignity and respect of all guests, their families, guests, representatives, fellow employees, volunteers, and medical staff of the facility.
- Supports the mission to provide consistent quality care services in a professional, caring, and responsive environment.
- Operate the switchboard.
- Answering phones and forwarding calls to the appropriate party
- Screening calls
- Greet new guests and other visitors who come to the Lodge.
- Sign for packages received. Sort guests’ mail by counselor.
- Notify staff of the arrival of scheduled guests and guests for appointments.
- Checks guests' outgoing mail against the approval list. Stamps appropriate mail and records guest postage used.
- Maintain and keeps guests’ information confidential.
- All other duties as assigned.
QUALIFICATIONS:
- High school graduate or higher.
- One year switchboard technique along with secretarial/computer training.
- Ability to set priorities.
- Strong interpersonal skills and ability to communicate with guests and employees.
- Flexibility to work various shifts, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
- Minimum of 1 years of work experience in a similar role
- Exceptional multitasking and time management skills
- Proficient administrative skills
- Background in the healthcare a plus
PHYSICAL DEMANDS:
- The physical demands and work environment require walking, bending, standing, climbing stairs, driving, and running standard office equipment. Must be able to lift and carry up to 50 pounds. Reasonable accommodation may be made for individuals with disabilities.
