Job Title: Medical Assistant
Location: Portland, OR
Shift: M,T,W: 10 am - 6 pm and T, F: 7-4
Contract: 13 weeks
Pay Rate: $23/hr
Overview
We are seeking a dedicated Medical Assistant to join our healthcare team. The ideal candidate will have a passion for patient care and assisting healthcare providers in delivering high-quality medical services.
Responsibilities
- Provide exceptional patient service by assisting with clinical tasks
- Support healthcare providers in various settings such as hospitals, clinics, and outpatient facilities
- Perform medical-surgical procedures under supervision
- Assist with coding and documentation of patient medical records
- Specialize in geriatric patient care when required
- Conduct basic life support procedures as needed
- Work in a Level I Trauma Center environment
- Perform X-Ray procedures under supervision
Requirements
- Certification as a Medical Assistant
- Experience in hospital medicine, clinic, or outpatient settings is preferred
- Proficiency in basic life support techniques
- Familiarity with medical coding practices
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Willingness to learn and adapt to new technologies and procedures
Job Type: Contract
Pay: $23.00 per hour
Expected hours: 40 per week
