Laurel, NJ or Manhattan, NY (local applicants only, no relocation)Employment Type : W2Candidate Constraints : Long Term, All Work Authorizations are Permitted – No Visa TransfersKey Technology : native JavaScript, HTML and CSS, Node.js, Spring, Spring Boot, Spring BatchJob Responsibilities : Practice ExcellenceUnderstanding and executing on practice strategy and leading the delivery for one of our Full Stack engineering practice teams.Participating in defining and executing quarterly OKRs and Engineering KPIs.Staying current with new and emerging technologies and selecting innovative platforms to enhance the capabilities of the business.Partnering with other practice leaders to keep abreast with best practices and standards.Introducing best in class engineering processes and practices, tools and methodologies.Developing and supporting full stack technology software engineering thought leadership.Collaborating on the technical design for new / emerging and existing digital products.Exhibiting subject matter expertise and driving culture change for the practice.Implementing automation through a robust Continuous Integration / Continuous Delivery model.Improving product quality, security, and performance.Team Leadership, Stakeholder engagementPartnering with stakeholders, presenting a compelling vision of the strategy.Leading a team of practitioners in an area of expertise.Providing overall team leadership, training, coaching, and development.Helping your engineers / practitioners grow their skills and experience.Identifying and eliminating obstacles to make the team successful.Providing guidance and coaching to team members on technical contributions.Contributing to the sense of psychological safety on your team.Holding regular 1 : 1’s with all members of their team.Giving regular and clear feedback around individual performance.Community of Interest (CoI)Helping develop CoIs / special interest groups on various technologies.Helping organize hackathons and events that encourage practitioners to build proof of concepts.Building and leading an engaged culture that inspires pride and meaningful work.Talent AccelerationActively seeking and hiring globally distributed talent.Helping with the development of Day-In-a-Life-Of material for specific roles.Partnering with leading Software Engineering consortiums to organize events.Collaborating with PGTLs on the product roadmap.Participating in the PI planning to contribute from an Engineering perspective.Reviewing practitioner allocations on product / platform PODs.Skills and Experience Required : Skills : Be an evangelist of engineering best practice.A full stack SE practice technical thought leader.Have a passion for coaching and mentoring talent.Be open and honest, working collaboratively.Be effective at making great decisions aligned with Product and Business strategy.Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills.Experience : 5 years of experience in leading a full stack development team.10 years of experience in Front End Web development (native JavaScript, HTML, CSS).5 years of experience in developing Backend microservices (node.js or Java).Highly organized and methodological.Solid leadership skills and background.Experience with modern JavaScript frameworks and Java frameworks.Experience with MS Azure Cloud Computing.Good understanding of design patterns and microservices architecture.Good understanding of Agile methodologies.Strong knowledge of Web standards and protocols.Ability to work in a global organization with stakeholders.Proven track record of delivery using various coding techniques.Knowledge and experience of DevSecOps and related tools.Passionate about open source and developer tools.Demonstrated track record of growing high-performing teams.Ideally hold a Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or STEM subject.#J-18808-Ljbffr
