Higher Heights is the political home for Black women’s political leadership. Our work is harnessing the collective organizing power of Black women from the voting booth to elected office. Black women continue to play a pivotal role in America’s democracy the current moment provides an opportunity to build on Higher Heights' impact to influence elections, elect Black women and advance policies.
Higher Heights is embarking on an ambitious strategy to build the organization's base of support and elevate Black women’s voices to shape and advance progressive policies and politics through innovative programming.
The Program Intern will support efforts to ensure that projects and initiatives are in full alignment with Higher Heights’ vision, mission, and goals. This intern will support our political department.

The Program Intern will support efforts to ensure that projects and initiatives are in full alignment with Higher Heights’ vision, mission, and goals. This intern will support our political department.
Duties include, but are not limited, to the following:
- Provide support with project meetings (schedule project meetings, assist with project documentation, document meeting minutes, and track project action/task items)
- Create and maintain files (online and paper copies)
- Draft internal correspondence
- Perform general and/or clerical duties as assigned
- Strong oral and written skills
- Skilled in MS Office products
- Ability to work independently
- Ability to juggle multiple tasks
