Position Summary:
As a Marketing Executive at Higher Love, you will be a key member of the Higher Love Marketing Team, responsible for overseeing, managing and executing marketing initiatives within the Wisconsin region. This role blends strategic thinking with hands-on execution, ensuring the Higher Love brand is consistently represented, compliant, and impactful across retail, events, and media channels in the state of Wisconsin. This position reports to the Director of Marketing.
Responsibilities, Job:
Lead & Execute Local Marketing Strategy
- Develop and implement marketing campaigns tailored to the Wisconsin market, aligned with brand guidelines and company objectives.
Brand Representation
- Ensure consistent and compelling brand presence at all touchpoints— border retail locations, partner collaborations, community events, and media platforms.
Retail & Event Support
- Support in-store promotions, organize and attend events, and collaborate with retail staff to drive engagement and foot traffic, with a focus on awareness and education in Wisconsin.
Partnership & Community Outreach
- Build and maintain relationships with local Wisconsin businesses, vendors, and organizations to enhance brand visibility and credibility.
Campaign Management
- Coordinate with the HQ marketing team on launches, product drops, and seasonal promotions. Manage local assets, signage, and distribution.
Compliance & Regulation Adherence
- Ensure all marketing efforts adhere to Wisconsin state laws and cannabis-related advertising regulations. Stay up-to-date on any changes in policy related to medicinal cannabis education and outreach.
Reporting & Insights
- Track KPIs and marketing performance metrics. Provide regular reports and feedback to the Director of Marketing on campaign effectiveness and market trends.
Qualifications/Requirements:
- Project Management Skills – Ability to assist in managing multiple projects, ensuring deadlines are met, and deliverables are tracked across teams.
- Organizational Skills – Strong organizational and time management skills, with the ability to handle various administrative tasks efficiently.
- Strong understanding of digital, grassroots, and experiential marketing
- Tech Proficiency – Comfortable using marketing tools, email marketing platforms, and Microsoft Excel/Google Sheets for reporting and organization.
- Strong Communication Skills – Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to work across teams and manage relationships with external partners.
- Self-starter mindset with the ability to work independently and as part of a remote team
- Experience in the cannabis or medicinal wellness industry is a strong plus
- Must be 21 and eligible to work in the cannabis industry in the state of Wisconsin
Education and Experience Required:
- Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Communications, Business, or a related field (or equivalent work experience)
- 3 years of experience in marketing, ideally with regional oversight
