Job Summary

Higher Standards Aerospace is looking for a motivated Hydraulic mechanic to join our team of professionals. The following is just an outline, and in no way limits other non-mentioned responsibilities from being added.

  • Maintenance and repair: Performing routine inspections, cleaning, and servicing of hydraulic components such as pumps, valves, cylinders, hoses, and filters.
  • Troubleshooting: Diagnosing issues within hydraulic systems by analyzing symptoms, pressure readings, and fluid leaks to identify faulty components.
  • Component replacement: Disassembling and replacing damaged hydraulic components with new parts, including seals, gaskets, and fittings.
  • System adjustments: Adjusting hydraulic pressure, flow rates, and other parameters to optimize system performance.
  • Installation and commissioning: Installing new hydraulic systems on machinery, including piping, tubing, and connecting components, and then testing to ensure proper functionality.
  • Fluid analysis: Monitoring hydraulic fluid quality and taking samples for analysis to identify potential contamination issues.
  • Documentation: Maintaining detailed records of repairs, maintenance activities, and system configurations.

Qualifications and Skills

  • Be able to read, write and interpret technical data in English.
  • Must be willing to work flexible hours to include late afternoons and weekends to meet customer demand.
  • Some mechanical experience preferred.
  • Detail-oriented and good troubleshooting skills.
  • Ability to multi-task.
  • Ability to follow instructions.
  • Great work ethics.
  • Good organizational skills and ability to maintain work environment clean.
  • FAA Airframe & Powerplant (A&P) license helpful but not required

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $15.00 - $26.00 per hour
