CLINICAL ASSISTANT (unlicensed) We are looking for the right person to partner with our nurses to implement the day-to-day nursing activities for our assisted living and memory care residents. This includes interacting with our residents, their families and medical providers, and our caregivers and medication assistants. We operate communities in the western US and are seeking the right Clinical Assistant to join our team. For this full-time position, we are seeking a caring, detail-oriented individual to work with us as we seek to provide quality care in an environment that promotes a sense of well-being and the feeling of true community. The successful candidate will be an organized and driven individual with a positive and self-motivated attitude. You must have strong communication and critical thinking abilities. Excellent time management skills are important along with relationship building, persistence, flexibility, and adaptability. SKILLS NEEDED: Ability to positively interact with pharmacies, medical providers, residents and families Able to create partnership relationships with the clinical and care teams Excellent customer service skills to respond to resident, family, and medical provider requests and concerns Demonstrated ability provide effective training for both 1:1 and small groups Calm, levelheaded demeanor to assist during medical emergencies or incidents Excellent verbal and written communication that is factual, based on observation and not subjective Office and computer skills including MS Office suite, EMAR, filing, organizing Ability to successfully complete a medication pass or quickly learn how to do so Ability to learn software that is necessary for the role A heart for service and compassion for elder adults Familiarity with healthcare documentation and charting systems RELATABLE EXPERIENCE: Experience working in the medical field Roles you have had working for and engaging with seniors Customer service in different settings Jobs that required focus, accuracy, and attention to detail Professional experiences that taught you the importance of follow through and problem solving to reach resolution QUALIFICATIONS 1) At least 21 years of age 2) Current negative TB test 3) Ability to pass criminal record/background check 4) Possess or be able to obtain the required credentialing (AZ - CCG) 5) Be efficient and exercise good time management skills 6) Self-starter with a focus on attention to detail 7) Excellent verbal and written communication skills 8) Desire to work with vulnerable populations As an organization we offer our team members a good benefits package, the ability to be heard, have their opinions count and the opportunity to innovate. Our compensation package will be flexible for this role based on the credentialing, tenure and skill sets each candidate brings for consideration. The hourly wage range for this position will be $19.00 to $24.00 per hour. Prior experience in caring for seniors or other specialty population groups is preferred.
