Coordinator, Outreach and Dual Credit
Highland Community College is seeking a dynamic and student-focused individual to serve as the Coordinator, Outreach and Dual Credit. This full-time position plays a vital role in fostering partnerships with local high schools, supporting prospective and dual credit students, and promoting College programs and services to expand enrollment opportunities.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide accurate and current information to prospective and dual credit students about academic programs, careers, and services.
- Assist students with admissions, registration, and program inquiries, ensuring proper referrals to College departments as needed.
- Coordinate strategic communication with prospective students through Customer Relationship Management (CRM) systems and ensure timely follow-up.
- Advise students individually and in group settings about educational opportunities, career pathways, and College resources.
- Develop and maintain strong partnerships with high school administrators, counselors, and teachers to foster dual credit opportunities.
- Serve as a liaison between high school and College administrators, ensuring compliance with dual credit program requirements and standards.
- Design and implement outreach programs, promotional events, and recruitment strategies to encourage enrollment and increase dual credit participation.
- Facilitate dual credit agreements in collaboration with academic divisions and maintain compliance with state and federal laws.
- Support dual credit students by streamlining processes for testing, registration, and other student services.
- Monitor and collect data related to dual credit programs, including transitional math and English courses.
- Participate in Industry Advisory Committees and councils to promote educational opportunities.
- Provide training to team members on outreach and enrollment processes.
- Perform other duties as assigned to support the Colleges mission.
What Were Looking For
Education and Experience:
- Bachelors degree in Marketing, Communications, Student Personnel, Psychology, or a related field.
- Three (3) years of work experience in a related field such as student personnel, marketing, or communications, OR an equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Experience in higher education is preferred.
Skills and Knowledge:
- Strong knowledge of academic programs, transfer requirements, and advising practices.
- Proficiency in computer operations and software applications, including CRM systems.
- Ability to communicate effectively in writing, one-on-one, and in group presentations.
- Demonstrated skills in organizing and managing data, events, and responsibilities.
- Familiarity with Federal and state privacy laws related to students.
- Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to establish effective relationships with diverse populations.
Other Requirements:
- Valid drivers license.
- Ability to work a flexible schedule, including evenings and weekends.
- Ability to work remotely and utilize technology for communication and organization.
