Mechanical Project Manager
Highland Consulting Group is a national executive search firm that specializes in placing top construction professionals.
We are working with a well established Mechanical Contractor in the Philadelphia, PA area that is recruiting for an experienced Mechanical Project Manager. Successful candidates must have a minimum of 5 years of experience as a Mechanical Project Manager overseeing commercial or industrial mechanical piping, plumbing, and sheet metal projects. Large project experience is preferred. This is a permanent, on-site position with an extremely stable company that has little or no travel.
Job Responsibilities:
- Manage and supervise all phases of assigned projects.
- Prepare and manage schedules.
- Estimate and negotiate change orders and maintain change order logs.
- Manage project budget and approve all expenses.
- Contract Administration.
- Buyout of Subcontracts & Equipment.
- Interface with the owner on all projects assigned.
- Assemble and maintain complete project records and close-out documents.
- Perform project punch-list inspection(s), in coordination with superintendent and the owner’s representative, and issue punch list to all relevant subcontractors.
- Stay in contact with past clients for repeat work.
Requirements:
- A minimum of 5 years of experience as a Mechanical Project Manager with projects larger than 3 million dollars.
- A background of overseeing new build and retrofit projects.
- Strong commercial building experience is preferred.
- Experience establishing timelines and budgets and change order negotiation and estimation.
- Ability to multi-task.
- Ability to lead productive, multi-discipline meetings.
- Solid, proven and verifiable record of career stability and project management success a must.
- Must have a good understanding of project financials
