Position Summary
We are looking for a reliable/dependable Field Technician who is a team-player, has a competitive edge, strives for excellence and is eager and willing to learn and grow with our small, family-owned company. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience in home improvement, repairs, and maintenance tasks. This role requires a professional who can work independently, troubleshoot issues, and provide excellent customer service while completing various repair and installation projects .
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
The essential functions include, but are not limited to the following:
- Perform a variety of handyman services, including and not limited to carpentry, drywall repair, plumbing, electrical work, and painting.
- Conduct troubleshooting and repairs for residential and commercial properties.
- Install and maintain home fixtures, appliances, and hardware.
- Perform minor remodeling tasks such as flooring installation, cabinet repairs, and tile work.
- Ensure all work complies with industry standards and safety regulations.
- Provide accurate estimates and recommendations to customers regarding repairs and upgrades.
- Maintain accurate records of completed jobs, materials used, and time spent on tasks.
- Communicate effectively with clients, team members, and supervisors regarding project progress and needs.
- Maintain tools, equipment, and company vehicles in good working condition
Minimum Qualifications (Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities)
- Proven experience as a handyman, field technician, or in a similar role.
- Strong , electrical work, carpentry, and general repairs.
- Ability to operate hand and power tools safely and efficiently.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Strong communication and customer service skills.
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks effectively.
- Must possess a valid driver's license, have reliable transportation and be willing to travel to various job sites as required.
- Ability to lift 80 lbs and perform physically demanding tasks.
Preferred qualifications:
- Experience in home remodeling or residential/commercial maintenance.
- Certification in relevant trades (preferred but not required).
- Familiarity with local building codes and safety regulations.
- Customer Service and sales experience a plus.
